Sunrise Canoe Elopement at Sparks Lake Oregon
Mackenzie and Dan wanted to have a private adventure elopement and a small wedding with their close friends and family, so we planned a relaxed two-day elopement! This is a great way for couples to have some private time to say their vows, enjoy an adventure together, and celebrate with their favorite people.
For their private elopement experience, we started before sunrise at Sparks Lake near Bend, Oregon. The early morning air was cool, and the sky was still dark as we made our way to the shore where a canoe was waiting. As the sun started to rise over the Cascades, they paddled across the calm water, soaking in the peaceful morning. The only sounds were their paddles dipping into the water and the occasional bird call.
They found a quiet little cove to exchange their vows, just the two of them, with the mountains and lake as their backdrop. It was simple, sweet, and exactly what they wanted. Afterward, we took some relaxed photos as the morning mist lingered on the water. Back on shore, they warmed up with coffee, enjoying the slow start to their day before heading off for more exploring.
The next day, they met up with their closest friends and family for a laid-back celebration. It was full of laughter, heartfelt toasts, and good food. They truly got the best of both worlds—a private, meaningful adventure and a chance to celebrate with the people they love.
If you’re thinking about eloping but still want to include your family and friends, a multi-day elopement could be the perfect way to do both!
